On a unique and compelling site on Hyannis Harbor, the Cape Cod Maritime Museum serves as a focal point for the Cape and Island’s maritime tradition. Boat building, cultural exhibits, maritime festivals, marine artifacts, shipwrecks, children’s programs and more flow in and out of the museum building. Within the Museum, a specially designated children’s area features fun, hands-on activities, quizzes, arts and crafts, and the Museum Book Store offers a range of maritime books and gifts for all. The exhibit Cape Cod 1639–1739 features the 1626 Cape Cod shipwrecked Sparrowhawk. Directly behind the Museum are sails on the historic Catboat replica Sarah.
