The Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits is located in the historic Miracle Mile neighborhood of Los Angeles Museum Row. The La Brea Tar Pits excavation site is one of the world's most famous Ice Age excavation sites, recognized for having the largest and most diverse array of extinct Ice Age plants and animals in the world! Inside the Museum, watch the processes of paleontology unfold. Every day inside the glass-enclosed Fish Bowl Lab, scientists and volunteers prepare fossils excavated from the site. It's where our best fossils are on display - including saber-toothed cats, dire wolves and mammoths.
