Announcing the Go Guides Widget by Smart Destinations!

Step 1 Copy First Code

Do you own a blog or travel related website? Are you looking for a new way to provide useful travel information to your visitors? Well, you’re in luck because the Smart Destinations development team has just launched the Go Guides widget!

What is a Go Guides Widget?

The Go Guides Widget is a snippet of code that you place on your website which creates a box filled with downloadable PDF guide books specific to one of our destinations. The guides are filled with useful information about the top attractions in the city of your choosing. You and your visitors can print them out or read them on your smart phones in order to use the guides as resources when exploring a city with your Go City Card or Go Select Passes in hand.

How Do I Get a Go Guides Widget?

We’ve got a widget for each one of our destinations. All you have to do is go to this page “Smart Destinations Go Guides Widget” and follow the instructions there. Copy and paste the first bit of code, place it on your website’s header (or anywhere above the next bit of code), and then copy the code of the city you like and paste it where you would like the widget to appear. If you’ve installed it correctly you should see the widget appear instantly on your website or blog!

How to Install the Go Guides Widget Using Word Press

We know not everyone is a web designer, so we’ve put together this simple step by step guide for placing the Go Guides Widget on your Word Press blog pages. If you don’t use Word Press, don’t worry, the concept still applies and only the dashboard changes.

Step 1: Copy the First Piece of Code

Step 2: Paste Code in a Text Editor (Notepad)

Step 3: Select and Copy the Code of the City You Want

Step 4: Paste that Code under the First Piece of Code in Your Text Editor

Step 5: Go to Appearance-> Widgets in Your Word Press Dashboard
Step 6: Drag a Text Widget to the Widget Area Where You Want the Widget to Appear

Step 7: Cut the Completed Code out of Your Text Editor and Paste it Into the Text Widget

Step 8: Hit Save and View Your Webpage

Step 9: Enjoy the Go Guides Widget and the PDF Guide Books Contained Within!

Simple enough, right? If you have any questions please feel free to ask away in the comment section below. We’ll be more than happy to assist you in getting these downloadable guides up and running on your website.

  1. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this website. It’s
simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say that you’ve done a
great job with this. In addition, the blog loads super quick for me on Safari.

    Superb Blog!

I am extremely impressed along with your writing talents as smartly as with the format for your blog.

Is that this a paid subject or did you modify it your self?

Anyway stay up the nice high quality writing, it’s rare to look a great blog like this one today..
