Boston, MA — Smart Destinations, the company behind Go Cards and Explorer Passes, announces the addition of SeaWorld San Diego as part of the Go San Diego Card. One of the most popular marine-life parks in the world, SeaWorld will now be an included admission on 3, 5, and 7-day Go San Diego Cards.

The Go San Diego card leverages Smart Destinations networked ticketing platform to provide holders with admission to 50 of San Diego’s top museums, tours, and attractions for one low, flat price. The card comes with a full-color guide to the city and also provides discounts at popular restaurants and shops. Smart Destinations runs similar programs in 14 other destinations across North America, with its smart cards being accepted at attractions ranging from New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art to surfing lessons on Waikiki Beach.

“As San Diego’s number one tourist attraction, we’ve welcomed over 130 million visitors since we opened in 1964,” said Marilyn Hannes, SeaWorld’s vice president of marketing. “We look forward to working with Smart Destinations to help us welcome the next 130 million.” Hannes added that SeaWorld has an exciting 2010 lined up that kicks off with its popular ‘Spring into Night’ on March 27 featuring the high-energy “Shamu Rocks” nighttime killer whale show. SeaWorld is also excited to debut its spectacular new ‘Blue Horizons’ show in late May that will showcase the park’s amazing dolphins and pilot whales, an array of colorful exotic birds, as well as incredible acrobatic performers.

“We’re obviously thrilled to have SeaWorld join our network of over 425 top parks, museums, and tours,” said Cecilia Dahl, founder and President of Smart Destinations. “They are not only the gold standard for high quality entertainment, but combine it with a commitment to conservation and education. With SeaWorld now part of the program, the Go San Diego Card has everything a visitor to San Diego wants to see and do.”

SeaWorld joins such popular San Diego attractions as the San Diego Zoo, LEGOLAND©, the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, the U.S.S. Midway Museum and the San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park in the Go San Diego Card Program. In addition, the Card covers a number of harbor tours, whale watches, city tours, area museums, excursions to surrounding areas, and much more.
