Smart Destinations Ranks No. 44 in the Top Travel and Hospitality Companies on the 2013 Inc. 500|5000 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 70%

Inc. magazine today ranked Smart Destinations for the fifth consecutive year on its seventh annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. As a five-time honoree, Smart Destinations joins a rarefied group that includes Microsoft, Intuit, Oracle, and Zappos.com.

Ranked No. 44 on the Top 100 Travel and Hospitality Companies list, Inc. magazine recognizes Smart Destinations for its substantial revenue growth that resulted in part from the launch of the world’s first digital multi-attraction pass that brings access to the largest network of attraction partners through a single QR code. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Fuhu tops this year’s list. Smart Destinations joins Edible Arrangements, CDW and Lifelock, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.

The 2013 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2009 to 2012. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2009. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2012. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2009 is $100,000; the minimum for 2012 is $2 million.
