Smart Destinations announced a number of new additions to the Go Oahu Card, available to their customers just in time for the summer travel season. In addition to the major savings and convenience that the Go Oahu Card already offers, Smart Destinations customers now have access to new attractions, including water sports, a new bus tour, and a special horseback riding opportunity. These exciting additions expand the vacation possibilities in Oahu.
“There’s so much to do and see in Oahu,” said Kevin McLaughlin, CEO of Smart Destinations. “With these new additions to our Go Oahu program, our customers have even more attractions to choose from to craft their perfect tropical vacation.”
Customers traveling to Oahu this season with the Go Oahu Card can now choose a number of new and relaxing beach options. With Stand Up Paddle Boarding, the latest trend in water sports, visitors can traverse the calm waters of Ala Moana Beach Park. Smart Destinations customers can also choose to snorkel off the North Shore. Snorkeling is one of the best ways to explore the diverse marine life of the Hawaiian Islands, and is a popular activity for people of all ages. For a different perspective on the Oahu coastline, many travelers enjoy a boat or kayak ride. Now, Smart Destinations customers can kayak from the North Shore beach to Waialua Bay with brand new rental options.
While Oahu is perhaps best known for its tropical beaches; the island is also full of historical and cultural attractions. The Aloha Bus tour is a new way for Smart Destinations’ customers to explore all of the architectural, artistic, and urban attractions Oahu has to offer. Some buses are even double-decker, open-top buses, making them ideal for capturing the perfect vacation photographs.
For those who enjoy spending time in the sun and exploring the Oahu’s beaches and parks, the Historic Makaha Valley’s riding stables provide the quintessential Hawaii horseback riding experience. The Diamond Head hike is another excellent way to take in the natural beauty of Oahu.
After a tour of the island’s major sites, like Pearl Harbor, customers may wish to explore a number of other prominent Oahu attractions. Some popular places to visit in Oahu include the Polynesian Cultural Center, a unique institution dedicated to preserving the heritage of the seven Polynesian cultures that shape Hawaii, and the USS Bowfin submarine, an important part of Oahu’s maritime history.
