SeaWorld San Diego is a one-of-a-kind vacation destination. A unique blend of theme park and animal conservation, SeaWorld features a variety of family-friendly activities and events alongside captivating marine life exhibits. While San Diego is generally temperate year-round, a number of the most popular attractions are recently reopened with the advent of warmer spring weather. Here’s a look at some of the perennial favorites and newly re-opened attractions that you’ll find this spring and summer at SeaWorld San Diego.
Theme Park Rides
SeaWorld San Diego has a bunch of classic rides, like roller coasters and waterslides, but with a special twist. So you like roller coasters? Hop on the Manta Coaster, which explores the world of manta rays in a ride that’s both exhilarating and educational. Dip in the water with the exciting Shipwreck Rapids, a fun tube ride that leads to a peaceful island – the best of both worlds. The Skytower is not only a fun ride, but it’s also an excellent photo opportunity; this ride brings you up high in the air for a fantastic view of San Diego. Tip: the best time to ascend the Skytower is just after noon, to ensure that you get the clearest view. For a taste of the wilder side of the ocean, be sure to take a stroll through the underwater viewing tunnel for the Shark Encounter of a lifetime.

It wouldn’t be SeaWorld San Diego without some of the world’s best marine performances. “One Ocean,” SeaWorld’s famous Shamu show, is an educational and inspiring celebration of life under the sea. This show is a unique view of the majestic killer whales, SeaWorld’s most beloved creatures. “Blue Horizon” is a spectacular show celebrating the creatures that love the air.
