Northern California can be a great place to visit. San Francisco is beautiful, Oakland has lots to do and if you go even farther up, Redwood country looms tall. That said, the North can’t really keep up with all the Southern California Attractions in the bottom of the state.
California’s most famous park might be Disneyland, but Knotts Berry Farm was open for business long before the Magic Kingdom even existed. This historic park is chock full of rollercoasters, family-friendly rides, water rides and the world famous Timber Mountain Log Ride. (Warning – you may get wet!)
The parks newest ride, Coast Rider, brings the ultimate family coaster experience to the next level. Riders will begin with a 52-foot ascent to the top of the rollercoaster before being swept down 1,339 feet of track filled with hairpin turns, twists and spins. The ride last two-and-a-half minutes and maxes out a speed of 37 MPH.
Knotts Berry Farm also has some great dining options. Guests can eat at Knott’s Chicken Diner and finish off their meal with a slice of Knott’s own Boysenberry Pie! The park also sells jars of its delicious preserves so guests can enjoy the flavors of the park all year long. Make no mistake, this is one of the most delicious Southern California Attractions that you will visit.
One of the more impressive Southern California Attractions is definitely Universal Studios Hollywood. One of the most exciting theme parks in the world, guests at Universal Studios Hollywood get to visit thrilling theme park rides and shows, a real working movie studio, and Los Angeles’ best shops, restaurants and cinemas – all in one place! Visitors can check out King Kong 360 3-D and go even farther by joining Shrek and Donkey on an adventure on Shrek 4-D.
