NEW Record-Setting Roller Coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain

What’s this you say about a new coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain? The word on the street (where roller coaster enthusiasts gather) is that Six Flags’ Los Angeles location may be home to a new launched roller coaster in 2013. The new coaster would break the world record for highest vertical loop—a record which now belongs to the Superman: Krypton coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, standing at 145-feet. So, who spilled the beans? A mechanic working on the project inadvertently let the details slip while casually holding a conversation at the Theme Park Review’s West Coast Bash, hosted at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The mechanic said that the ride would be “in the 6,000 foot length range,” feature three magnetic launches, and claim the record for the world’s tallest loop.
