Town Square’s SummerStarz 2012

It’s not always easy to find inexpensive kid-friendly things to do in New York City. Fortunately, Town Square, a community-based organization in Williamsburg, has set out enrich the quality of life in the community through activities that inspire creativity and imagination. This summer, they’re back in action with Town Square’s SummerStarz 2012, an annual summer series of movies and films—entirely free! The series kicked off last Thursday, July 12 with a family-friendly DJ set followed by a screening of Ice Age. Every Thursday through August 16th, you can join in on the fun at East River State Park (N. 8th Street and Kent Avenue, Brooklyn). Five for Fighting to perform live at Lincoln Park Zoo

Harvard Farmer’s Market Ushers in Summer

The Market is located right next to the Harvard Science Center at Oxford and Kirkland Streets, about 100 yards away from the Harvard Museum of Natural History and Peabody Museum of Archaeology.
