First up on the calendar is the Hollywood Christmas Parade—an American tradition in its 81st year running. This year, join hosts Erik Estrada and Laura McKenzie, as well as the 2012 “Grand Marshal,” Joe Mantegna for an evening of festivities. Parade Information This year’s parade will be held on Sunday, November 25th, beginning at 6:00 PM. The parade route starts on Hollywood Blvd at Orange and continues in a U-shape as it travels east on Vine, south on Vine to Sunset Boulevard, and west on Sunset back to Orange. The hours are ticking down to the 28th annual Long Beach International City Bank Marathon, which will take over the city on Sunday, October 7th. One of the most scenic and flat courses in America, the Long Beach Marathon draws tens of thousands of athletes and spectators each year. The course meanders through quaint seaside communities and urban landmarks, offering ocean views throughout 80% of the route. Although 23,000 athletes are expected to take part in the five events offered, only about 5,000 will be running the full marathon, making it a somewhat intimate event.
