Visitors to Southern California may want to spend the 4th of July enjoying some of the top San Diego Attractions that the city has to offer. This Oceanside paradise isn’t just a great place to visit because of the weather – there’s plenty to do as well!
SeaWorld San Diego is on the short list of San Diego Attractions that you need to check out when you visit town. Starting on June 15, the park will begin its Summer Nights program, meaning that a visit on Independence Day will be even more special. During Summer Nights, SeaWorld San Diego features extended hours and nighttime only shows like Shamu Rocks, Sea Lions Tonite and the Into the Blue fireworks finale that concludes each night. (There’s no doubt that finale will be Into the Red, White and Blue on the 4th!)
To make your trip to this San Diego Attraction even more enjoyable, here are a few insider tips:
Make time for feeding times
Meet an animal trainer in person
See what goes on behind the scenes
If you feel like indulging your patriotic side on Independence Day, then the San Diego Attraction for you might be the USS Midway Museum. Measuring 972 feet and weighing in at 74,000 tons, the USS Midway Museum was home to more than 225,000 sailors during its nearly 50 years of operation. Kids will enjoy taking a peek at the aircraft carrier’s sleeping quarters, flight control deck, and jail. The “city at sea” was active from 1945 to 1992 in places as far away as the South China Sea. Not a bad place to celebrate the independence of the U.S.
