Where to Watch the Super Bowl in Chicago

For WindyCity fans of the Denver Broncos or the Seattle Seahawks who aren’t able to make it all the way to the East Coast for the Super Bowl, all is not lost. There are plenty of great places in Chicago to watch the telecast of Super Bowl XLVIII from New Jersey and multiple Chicago Attractions to enjoy either before or after the game.

At Bub City at 435 North Clark Street, chow down on some sizzling barbecue on Super Sunday and dine on ribs, pulled pork sandwiches and chopped beef brisket while you watch the Broncos take on the Seahawks. In addition to classic BBQ, the restaurant offers a large selection of taquitos, dips, wings and salads. Don’t forget to save room for one of BubCity’s signature pies.

Prior to enjoying America’s largest secular holiday, don’t forget to investigate some of the Chicago Attractions that are available in the SecondCity.

For a Super Bowl experience that is pure Chicago, head to the Clark Street Bar at 3040 North Clark Street in Wrigleyville. The bar is attached to the Clark Dog hotdog stand and it will be serving up a selection of burgers and $3 domestic bottles for the big game – in addition to classic Chicago-style dawgs. For something a little more hearty, Clark Street offers their famous Chicago-style Philly steak with mushrooms, onions, peppers and Swiss cheese.

Chili-lovers will want to head over to Howells and Hood at 435 North Michigan Avenue for their first-annual Super Bowl chili cook-off. Seven local chefs are holding court at the bar and their Super Sunday offerings include cornbread-topped Kobe brisket chili, spicy pig chili verde, Brazilian Feijoada-style chili and an offering called Drunk Boar’s Revenge that features smoked wild boar, chili de arbol and Revolution Eugene Porter. Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite recipe and automatically be entered to win a $25 gift certificate to the restaurant.

Another gluttonous way to spend gameday is by going to Sedgwick’s Bar & Grill at 1935 North Sedgwick Street for a feast of tater tots topped with pulled pork, buffalo chicken, salsa and more. Sedgwick’s has a variety of drink specials and crowd-pleasing favorites like popcorn, hot dogs, chili verde and other kinds of rib-sticking comfort food are always on hand.

For a carryout option, Tre Soldi at 212 East Ohio Street is offering $10 pizza pies like the traditional margarita, spicy N’duja and the arugula-pistachio-topped Verdure.
