Last night marked the beginning of the LEGOLAND California Holly Jolly Holidays with the tree lighting ceremony of the world’s largest LEGO® Christmas tree. The tree stands at 3o feet tall and is made of over 245,000 DUPLO® bricks and decorated with over 240 LEGO ornaments. Celebrity Brooke Burke of “Dancing with the Stars” and her family helped Santa light the tree.
During the month of December LEGOLAND California becomes a holiday wonderland with entertainment every weekend including carolers and musicians who walk the park and nightly fireworks from Dec. 26-30. Take your picture with snowman made of more than 37,000 LEGO bricks or with the LEGO Santa, his sleigh and two reindeer featuring 51,100 LEGO bricks. One lucky child will be randomly chosen every night until December 24 to light the tree when the park closes.
Although many things have changed with LEGO’s over the past 60 years, they still remain a classic family toy that everyone can enjoy. Make this holiday season one to remember and head to LEGOLAND California. Admission is included with your Go San Diego Card.
