Comments about Smart Destinations Biltmore:

I was really impress with the upkeep and the building and the history behind it. I was truly amazed at the magnificent the chandeliers, the pool and other areas of the house looked. And how these were built even though they didn't have modern tools or technology to help them build. Beautiful!. My grandchildren (8, 9 & 10 yrs were surprising interested and remembered of a lot of what they heard. WOW! Worth seeing!

Don't go when it's really warm!

Comments about Smart Destinations Biltmore:

The Biltmore Estate has no air conditioning, and you WILL sweat if you go when it's 90 degrees or above outside. They have huge floor fans but they're only in certain rooms. Also, don't take children under 12 with you. It's just not that interesting for them, and it involves a lot of walking. Otherwise, it's a great mansion to visit. You'll probably never see anything else like it. For us, the self-guided tour was enough. We didn't do all the other add-ons. We did go to the winery (a must--get your free wine sample and grapejuice). The farm and village are also very nice. You could spend the day on the grounds picnicking and taking photos of the massive gardens. There's tons of shopping and dining on property, too.
