Blue Ridge Day Hiker is a full service hiking guide company offering custom day hikes in the mountains surrounding Asheville, North Carolina. To see these mountains while driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway is breathtaking; but the way to truly experience these mountains is to walk up, over, and through them. Blue Ridge Day Hiker will pack your lunch, pick you up, and lead you on your personalized hike. They offer everything from an easy stroll for a lazy day by a waterfall to a rigorous 12 mile hike over several 5000-6000 ft. bald mountains to the newly famous Cold Mountain. Blue Ridge Day Hiker, LLC, holds all US Forest Service and Blue Ridge Parkway permits. Jason Larson is the founder and primary guide for Blue Ridge Day Hiker. Jason is certified as a basic Emergency Medical Technician in the state of North Carolina, and holds a B.S. in Zoology from Auburn University. Jason and his dog Sky have been hiking the mountains of Western North Carolina since 1998. Group size limited to six. They offer hikes year round, as every season holds different surprises!
