Comments aboutSmart Destinations Chimney Rock Park:
I love Chimney Rock and have visited several times over the years. It's simply beautiful to behold and when you travel deep into the trails, you find it so eerily silent that it's an incredibly peaceful experience. If you are traveling with a spouse or family, I give it 5 stars. If you are traveling with your dog (they are pet friendly) I give it 4 stars and here's why. If you bring a pet, you can't use an elevator to get to the tippy top. That means that you need to walk up endless and endless flights of steps. You better have the lung capacity and strong quads! I'm a runner and never even made it to the top that trip. We instead canvassed the trails and saw the waterfall featured in the Last of the Mohicans. Truly stunning!
