Loved by young and old, the Horn in the West drama is located in the heart of Boone, North Carolina in one of the most beautiful outdoor theaters in the country, Daniel Boone Ampitheater. This theatrical adventure, from this nation's southern heritage, has offered thrilling outdoor entertainment to generations of Americans since it premiered in 1952. Located on the grounds at 'Horn in the West,' Hickory Ridge Homestead is an eighteenth-century living history museum highlighting the daily lives of North Carolina's mountain ancestors. Visitors to the museum are allowed a special glimpse into North Carolina's mountaineer past as actors sporting period clothing explain pioneer life and culture. Regular demonstrations in weaving on a 180 year-old loom and hearthside working.

Horn in the West: June 19-August 15: Tuesday-Sunday, Show starts at 8:00 pm;
Hickory Ridge Living Museum: June 19-August 15: Tuesday-Sunday, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm;
open yearly for special tours. Optional guided tour the night of the Horn in the West performance begins at 7:00 pm
