Driving Directions

From Spruce Pine: Take 226 North to Bakersville. At the flashing light, turn left and continue north on 226 2 1/2 miles. Located on the left at Loafers Glory. From Burnsville: Turn left on Hwy 197. Take 197 to the stop sign at Hwy. 226. Turn right and go approximately 3 1/2 miles. Located on the right at Loafers Glory.

All tube trips include your tube, personal floatation device (on request), shuttle service and a relaxing float through the scenic Toe River Valley of Mitchell County, NC. We suggest you bring a soft side cooler with drinks and snacks. The Loafers Glory staff will show you all the hot spots to swim and hang out on your way to the put-in.
