The French Broad holds the distinction as the third oldest river in the world, trailing only the Nile in Africa and the New in West Virginia. The French Broad winds through the mountains of Pisgah National Forest just a short 30 minute drive from Asheville, North Carolina. This free-flowing river is ideal for families and young teens, with moderate Class II and III rapids.

Comments about Smart Destinations NOC French Broad River Rafting:

My wife and I were extremely pleased with this experience. On the day of our trip it was 50 degrees and raining and the staff was more excited about going than we were. They supplied us with everything we needed and we stayed nice and warm; and since it was raining no one else showed up for the trip so it was just the two of us and our guide, which made for a more enjoyable and personal trip. Our guide along with the rest of the staff were very personable and informative and they made the trip that much more memorable.
