Boston Children's Museum has been building innovative, meaningful, and fun exhibits for over 96 years. Their emphasis on ‘hands-on engagement and learning through experience’ has inspired museums worldwide. Designed for children and families, the exhibits focus on science, culture, environmental awareness, health & fitness, and the arts.

Climb a three-story structure, explore Science Playground, get inspired by KidPower, visit an authentic Japanese house, make art, and much more!


The Boston Children’s Museum is definitely going to be a highlight of any child’s visit to Boston, so if you are looking for things to do with kids in Boston, look no further. And remember, with a Go Boston Card (or as a choice with a Boston Explorer Pass), admission to the Children’s Museum is free.

Public Transportation:

Take the T: Red Line to South Station. Exit South Station and take a right onto Summer St., walking one block towards the water.  Take the first left on Dorchester Ave.  Follow one block and turn right over the Congress Street Bridge. At the stoplight, turn right onto Congress St. and proceed across the bridge. You'll see the Museum ahead, behind the 40-foot milk bottle.

Silver Line to Courthouse Station. Upon exiting, turn left (toward the City of Boston skyline).  Walk straight down Seaport Blvd.  Cross Sleeper St. and enter the Museum’s Children’s Wharf Park.  Take a left onto the Boston Harborwalk along the Fort Point Channel to the Museum entrance.

Redemption Instructions:

Please present your Go Boston Card to any ticket taker. They will validate it, return your card, and let you in.

Children over the age of 1 who are not holding a Go Boston Card will be charged full retail admission.
