This fully-narrated 45-minute tour of Boston's inner harbor brings you up close and personal with 'Old Ironsides' at her home in the Charlestown Navy Yard and allows you the option to disembark for a tour of the famous ship and adjacent Naval Museum. The Constitution Cruise also highlights the waterfront's other historical and contemporary landmarks, including Old North Church, and Charlestown’s Bunker Hill Monument. You’ll also see the historic wharfs that have been transformed into some of the city's most luxurious harborside residences that will send you away not only in love with Beantown, but maybe even wishing it could be your home-away-from-home!

The USS Constitution, affectionately known as ‘Old Ironsides’, is the oldest active US Navy ship in the country and has the honorable record of being undefeated in battle. The nickname for the ship comes from its remarkable ability to withstand every cannon shot fired at the ship’s hull during the War of 1812. The moniker was allegedly given to the ship by the sailors of one of her British opponents during conflict. The disembarkation point at the USS Constitution offers not only the opportunity to walk around one of the most interesting historic vessels in American maritime history, but is also a fantastic vantage point from which to snap memorable photographs of the phenomenal skyline and harbor of Boston.

As you tour the Boston Inner Harbor, check out the other vessels that pass you by including commuter ferries, cruise ships, and even the unique Boston Tea Party Boat! While cruising the waters of Boston Harbor passengers gain a sense of the historical significance of this city, as well as its current status as one of the East Coast’s leading centers of business and commerce. Enjoy the USS Constitution Cruise and your trip through historic waters!

Comments about Smart Destinations Boston Harbor Cruises 45-Minute Constitution Cruise:

Is it fun? Yes! Is it cheesy? Kinda. Is it informative? You bet. It's a great way to relax for about 45 minutes while taking in the city skyline. And the commentary is great too. We loved that it's right next door to the Aquarium (literally a few feet). That makes it makes it easy to hit both attractions in a quick amount of time and watch your savings grow.
