Boston Movie Mile Walking Tour by On Location Tours

Lights, Camera, Action! Experience Boston's movie magic as you explore the famous Boston Movie Mile on this fun and interactive walking tour. Learn behind-the-scenes trivia and inside gossip as you visit filming hotspots made famous by over 30 movies and TV shows such as The Departed, Good Will Hunting, Cheers, Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, and more.

Sit on the famous park bench from Good Will Hunting. Have a drink at the Bull & Finch Pub, the inspiration for Cheers. Tour guests receive a special discount on food and merchandise. Catch a glimpse of the building where Ally McBeal was filmed. See filming locations from the movie The Departed.

Redemption Instructions

Please present your Go Boston Card at the ticket office window at 139 Tremont St. It will be validated, and returned with a ticket for the tour.

Reservation Instructions

Advanced reservations are highly recommended since this is a popular activity. Please remember that your pass must be valid on the day of the tour.

Advanced reservations: Please call 212-683-2027 and provide a valid credit card number to reserve your spot. You may cancel free of charge up until 24 hours prior to the tour, but if you do not cancel or show up, then your credit card will be charged for the full price of the tour. On the day of your tour, present your pass at the Boston Common Visitor Center to claim your ticket.

Comments about Smart Destinations Boston Movie Mile Walking Tour:

The tour mostly takes place in Beacon Hill, which was a nice area to explore for its pop culture rather than its political history like most other tours focus on. I was pleasantly surprised by how many movies and tv shows were filmed here. And if you're a Departed fan, you won't be disappointed. Two thumbs up.
