Comments about Smart Destinations Mass Bay Lines Whale Watch:

I certainly would have given Mass Bay Line 5 stars had we been able to find more whales, certainly not their fault...we went Memorial Day weekend, perhaps a bit early for whale watching, as we saw no humpbacks, only a few minkes in the wild. We also had to travel quite a distance, at least 2 hours out, around 30 min-1 hr looking around the bank, then another 2 hours back. I don't think it typically takes that long, but the whales were further south this time of year I guess. Staff was friendly and informative. Snack bar is grossly overpriced, I highly recommend you bring your own lunch onboard and some type of activity for the family to do for the long trip out (like cards or something). Also, we didn't get to board first, therefore, all the good seats on the top deck were taken, so if you can, get in the front of the line! Viewing was not as good where we were. Overall, certainly worth your time in the long run - the chance to see these animals in the wild is amazing.
