The largest cultural attraction on Cape Cod, Heritage Museums & Gardens is located on 100 acres of award-winning gardens. Thousands of daffodils and tulips bloom the end of April, Dexter rhododendrons are at peak in the spring, hybrid daylilies in every conceivable color can be found all over the grounds mid-July through August and beautiful Hydrangeas can be seen in the fall.
A Shaker round barn displays the J. K. Lilly III Automobile Collection as well as filling station memorabilia and seasonal exhibits. An orientation film is shown in a small theater. The American History Museum houses the military miniature collection and seasonal exhibits. The Art Museum is home to an antique 1906-1912 working carousel, folk art that celebrates the American Spirit, and changing seasonal exhibits. The Hart Family Maze Gardens, a labyrinth, Blossoms Café and the Old East Mill are also located on the grounds.
New in 2010: Flume Fountain with a 25ft. waterfall and reflecting pool, Shaker round barn outdoor patio, elevator, and more. Hidden Hollow Family Discovery Garden is slated to open in June. Visit the Museum Store for unique items and souvenirs.
