Description
The Jenney Grist Mill is a 17th Century living history museum - a reconstruction of the original Mill built in 1636 on Town Brook by Pilgrim John Jenney. At this working mill visitors step back in time as the miller, dressed in period clothing, tells the story of the Pilgrims' journey, their struggle to survive, and the importance of the original Mill and Town Brook to the colony. Watch the huge water wheel turn the grinding stones and experience the beginning of industry and free trade in our country. A visit to the Jenney Grist Mill is a fun and educational experience for adults and children. An ice cream shop and gift shop are on the site. Tour time is 20 – 30 minutes.

Comments about Smart Destinations Jenney Grist Mill:

This was an excellent walking tour where you can find out a lot about how America started. Included was a visit to Plymouth Rock which is interesting by itself! Our tour guide was very informative and told us about Plymouth history along with anecdotes about the area. We tagged along with 3rd graders and he entertained them and kept their attention (not easy to do with 3rd graders!). This was a fascinating and interesting tour and I'm glad we chose this as part of the Go Boston attractions.
