Robots, holography, MIT lore, and cutting-edge exhibits blending art and technology draw visitors from around the world to the MIT Museum. No dusty academic enclave, the Museum is bursting with creative energy that brings the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's world-renowned research and innovation to life.
The expanded Museum now includes the Mark Epstein Innovation Gallery where current research at MIT is on display, and the MIT Museum Store which sells science themed toys, t-shirts, jewelry and gifts. Upstairs, young and old alike are drawn to a gallery of holograms, the beloved kinetic sculptures of Arthur Ganson, and a unique exhibition about artificial intelligence, "Robots and Beyond." Don't forget to introduce yourself to Kismet, the world's first sociable robot, or to sign up on the website for the e-newsletter announcing monthly programs and events for all ages.
