Journey through the only museum on the Freedom Trail, filled with a vivid collection of Revolution-era artifacts and other one-of-kind objects from the past, each one contributing to the amazing story of RevolutionaryBoston. Highlights include John Hancock’s lavish red velvet coat, arms and ammunition from Revolutionary War battles, and tea salvaged from the Boston Tea Party! You'll be glad you came!

Getting In

Please present your Go Boston Card to any ticket taker. They will validate it, return your card, and let you in.

Comments about Smart Destinations Old State House Museum:

There are so many choices of things to do in Boston and this is one to see! While it is a small museum, you can do it all in about 2 hours, it is set up so well! Everyone receives a character ID and throughout the museum there are several questions that relate to your person. Also, they work in your character during their tours. It is very well done! In addition, throughout the museum you can take a free audio tour through your cell phone. Very cool! We loved this museum!
