Salem Heritage Walk
Explore Salem's rich history on the Salem Heritage Walk. Tours are led by costumed interpreters who will guide you through Salem's history focusing on its triumphant Age of Sail, when privateers and merchant princes of Salem made names for themselves that survive in the city to this day.

Learn about the founding of Salem, its rise from a small fishing town to one of the most profitable ports in America, privateers of the American Revolution, Salem's Merchant Families and Salem's decline as a center of maritime commerce.
