This makes it easy to re-visit my son's favorite museums and attractions more than once per vacation, which is not something we could do if we were paying full admission each time; also makes it easy to squeeze in visits to more locations (rather than feeling that you have to spend a full day someplace because of the high cost of admission).

I did a lot of research before my trip to Chicago. I compared the Go Chicago Card to City Pass; by far Go Chicago offered many more attractions. We purchased the Go Chicago card at the mall near the Water Tower; took just minutes to get and within 5 minutes we were boarding a double decker tour bus for free!!We visited the [...], [...], [...], took the architectural boat tour and enjoyed a refreshing shake at Ghiradelli. Our transportation around the city during the day was the Gray Line Hop On Hop Off tour which was included with our Go Chicago Card. We saved a ton of money and saw places we probably would not have seen if it wasnt for the savings of the Go Chicago Card.

We spent 3 days in Chicago and visited two museums, the aquarium, Navy Pier, visited the John Hancock observatory, the Sears Tower, took an architectural boat tour, and rode the trolley. It was nice to not have to limit the places we could visit because of the admission prices. The express entry was most appreciated at the aquarium where we were able to bypass the long line standing outside in the heat. The trolley started at 10 am which seems about an hour too late to me. Had to wait for 45 minutes once for the trolley but it redeemed itself after that.

Don't add additional tours! On the the Explorer Card (5 desitinations), plan for 3 days due to the hours of the desinations.

Like many I was not sure about this card. Seemed maybe too good to be true. It was everything they advertised it to be. The best part was express entry at many locations. Believe me there is lines for everything but with this card we were allowed to use express entry or will call on most places. I can assure you collectively, it saved us hours. We never waited any where we went. I would say the biggest pro was express entry and Shedd's Aquarium. That line is LONG and outside and we knew right then and there we had made the right call. Questioning whether to do this or not? Do it! You won't regret.

This card is great if you plan ahead. We knew where we would go each day and what eles was in the area. Didn't feel like we needed to see everything in each muesum just went to the exibits that intrested us. If you schedule your navy pier boat ride and get your ride tickets before 5:30 it can extend the value (e.g. we got ride tickets and boat tickets at 3p. then went to the Hancock and did some shopping came back to pier for our 7p boat ride and then used the ride tickets). We had 3 day card, anything less would be hard to get the great value we did (based on prices we saved about 60%), but it could still save you at a lesser %. We didn't just go from one attraction to the next just to try to get the most value, we stayed anywhere from 2-5hrs. based on interest and about a half hour on ea. sky deck (how long can you stare out a window?). We went during the week so the skip the line didn't come into play much but def. adds value. We got to Shedd when it opened and walked right in, when we left (3 hrs.later) it was over an hour wait unless you had skip the line.

So easy to use and getting in and out of places was a breeze. This along with a 3 day Metro pass made getting around and seeing Chicago so easy and fun. Would recommend this to all folks going to Chicago for more than a couple of days.
Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:
This card provided a lot of savings and was useful for many events. Some attractions were only available until 5pm which was a bit hard to schedule. We were unable to board the trolley tour at any location. You first had to go across town to the visitors center on Michigan avenue. We saw this happen to other visitors who tried to board at different locations. When we did try to board at the visitors center, the trolley tour was closed that day.

If you are a serious sightseer, then this card is for you! With careful planning we were able to get at least 3 museums/attractions/sites in per day. We may go back again and use the card to see the many attractions we didn't get to this time with our three-day card.
