Frequently Asked Questions

What are "consecutive calendar days"?

The first time you visit an attraction, it will “activate” the calendar day countdown on your pass.

For example, a 3-day pass activated on a Monday will be valid on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. It doesn’t matter what time you activate the pass on the first day, so we suggest you start your day early.

What if my plans change?
Free Cancellation Insurance

How many days should I buy?

Most travelers visit between 2 and 3 attractions each day depending on individual preference. Our most popular pass is the 3-day pass.

How much will I save?

Compare the price of the pass to the gate prices of the attractions you want to visit to see how much you can save. Many customers save more than 50%.

Is my card valid all day?

You can enter attractions until 5:30pm with the Go Chicago Card.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook page for specific information on each attraction.

What is the age cut off for child tickets?

Child passes are for ages 3-12. Most attractions are free for children under 3.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

Just returned from my first trip to Chicago. I had a three day Go Chicago Card. It was very easy to use; often you could skip the lines with express entry to many attractions. There was an excellent variety of attractions. The best part being the card is a real money saver. On my future travels I will look to purchase this card in other cities.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

I traveled with a girl scout troop last summer and spent 5 days in Chicago. Got the 3 day go Chicago cards and found them to work fantastic! We used them the second, third and fourth day there. Saved us money on the sightseeing we did. Also saved time as we could go to the will call windows at some places and avoid the long lines. It was great to not have to carry cash to purchase tickets for individual admission into the attractions or use a credit card. Also got dicount on the tickets for the aquatic show at the Shedd which the girls really enjoyed.Just remember to activate your card early in the day as to get your full day out of the card. We started with the Northside bus tour the first morning and that was very informative then used it at Willis Tower in the afternoon. Just remember alot of places only honor the card till 5pm. If you do a little planning the cards work great. I would definately purchase them again!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

Although it was painful in the wallet when we ordered the cards online, it was great not to have the expense of all the individual attractions. We did some things that we normally would not have spent money on. We liked the bike ride along the shore and through Millienium Park and Grant Park. This saved us lots of steps. Boat tour was great. The Gray Line Trolley is not as accessible as other companies (in fact tried to board the wrong one!). We didnt end up riding.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

We had a party of six in our group and we saved well over $200.00 by using the Chicago Go Card. We really loved moving in front of everyone in line waiting to buy tickets, all you do is go in the "Fast Pass Lane" and your in your attraction. A good example of this is the Shed Aquarium which had a 2.5 hour wait to get in on the day we went. Friday July 27th, 2012. By using the Go Card, we got into the Aquarium in about 15 minutes. We loved it!!!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

My family had the 2day card. We so got our money's worth. First day: aquarium, field museum, childrens museum and then got tickets to Navy Pier rides and a boat cruise before the 5:30 deadline, but used them later that night. Next day John Hancock observatory, Adler planetarium, used the hop on hop off transportation back to navy pier, rode more rides, visited children's museum more so for the air conditioning. Saw an IMax movie (Buy one get second half off, plus discounted popcorn and drink. Then got another ticket(before the movie) for another boat cruise to use after the movie. We will definitely use this again.

Fantastic Package - Savings & Perks
By Samantha from Ohio Verified Reviewer from Columbus, Ohio on 7/2/2012

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

I love, love, love the Go Chicago card. This is my second time using the card and I'm more thrilled than before. The selection of attractions is fantastic. Our family was able to see everything we wanted and more! The transportation included is wonderful and the added benefit of a guided tour on all the transportation is icing on the cake. The best part is the fast pass feature. We saved time, tears and frustration and several locations by being able to proceed directly to will call and avoid painful lines. When traveling with children there is no price you can put on this exceptional benefit. The card is easily accepted at all locations and there is no frustration involved when presenting it. Finally, another great benefit is being able to hop from location to location without feeling as if we are wasting money. If I had paid "full" admission to many attractions I would have stayed much longer feeling guilty for "wasting" my money. However, I felt less guilt touring at my own pace (with children) and seeing precisely what I wanted to see. We saved almost $200 on this trip by taking advantage of the Go Chicago Card. We've told all our friends traveling to Chicago and those who live in the area this is a must have for any sightseeing excursion in the city. Thank you for offering such an extraordinary package.

Well worth the money
By Pleased from Minneapolis on 5/7/2012
Pros:
Time-saving, Money-saving, Great for a family
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

I was skeptical trying something new, but the Go Chicago card was the best purchase! We were able to make great use of the card for three full days. There is a big enough variety of activities to choose from to get your money's worth even if the weather is not the best. If you plan wisely, you can really pack in the activities. I would definitely recommend for families.
