How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go Chicago Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day from 9:00am-5:30pm.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook for specific information on each attraction.

What is the age cut off for child cards?

Child cards are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to weather or other problem?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great thing about a Go Chicago Card is that there are so many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, we know you'll find a fun alternative in your guidebook!

What do I do if my Go Chicago Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen. Please treat the card like cash.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch. Go Chicago Card has a partnership with all of the participating attractions to make your visit to Chicago as memorable as possible and to help you save time and money.

Unfair time restrictions
By late arrival from Toronto, Canada on
Cons:
Must Use This Card By 53,
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

Must use this card by 5:30. Art Institute strictly enforced this rule on Thursday night when it is open until 8:00 to our great disappointment. This is a very odd restriction with this card.

Go Chicago Card the way to go
By Sammy 2013 from Chicago, IL on
Pros:
Convenient, Good Value
Cons:
Not Valid In The Evenings,
Best Uses:
Skipping The Lines,
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

Easy to use, and great to be able to skip the lines. Biggest issue I had with both Go Chicago as well as the actual Navy Pier websites was that there were no updates stating that pretty much everything was under construction. Quite disappointed to head to the pier to only find out the Ferris Wheel was not in service due to the construction. They can rely on all of their fine print disclaimers, but it would be nice to call out something like this.

AMZING AND BEST PART IT'S A LIST OF BEST
By Samantha, loves to travel from MCKinney, Tx on
Pros:
Exciting, Organized, Exhilarating, fun
Best Uses:
Skip Lines, Well organized,
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

It's was great for the reason it was a list of the best attractions. Each day we would look at the list for what to do. When in Chicago there's so much to do it hard to narrow it down to a manageable list of what to do. I enjoyed every thing. If you don't like the attraction just move on to the next ting. It's like having your own tour guide in your pocket!

Great Card except for Grayline Buses
By Midwest Mike Verified Reviewer from Tampa, FL on
Pros:
Encourages You To See All, Saves Time -, Saves Money
Cons:
Grayline Buses Terrible,
Best Uses:
All Museums Aquarium,
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

The GO Card works great all over town. Only problem is the Grayline buses. The buses were always late. They left us stranded twice in one week. They are so slow you will waste all of your time riding them. If you want to get the most out of your visit, just pay for cabs. The added expense is worth it because you will be able to do so many more things.

Allot to do in a short amount of time

Everything is covered
Cons:
Too much to do No real express line
Best Uses:
If you are driving Never been to chicago
Bottom Line:

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

I was there for two days and saw 4.5 items each day. I was also taking public transportation. I liked it because I did get a whirlwind tour of everything that I could fit in. My issue, is that when I got to the Willis/Sears tower. There was no express line for me. I was expected to wait in the longest line that I had ever seen in my life for security. Not cool, so I skipped seeing that one.

Great Deal
By Missing Chicago Verified Reviewer from Harrisville, WV on
Pros:
Fast entry, Saves Money, Saves time, Lets You Do More
Cons:
A week is too short,
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

The Go Chicago card is a great value. Overall we saved on admission costs. Plus, having the prepaid admission, we did things we might not otherwise have done. The individual admission prices add up pretty quick. With the Go Card you could enter an attraction, even if you didn't have time to see it all. If you wanted to see more you could come back the next day and entry was free again. We also had fast entry with the Go card. At Skydeck we went first thing in the morning and actually had the entire deck to ourselves for the the first few minutes. At Shedd Aquarium, the entry line was out the door, down the steps, and about fifty yards down the sidewalk. With a Go Card we go to go to "Will Call" and had two families in front of us. We kind of felt guilty passing the three or four hundred people standing in line in 96 degree heat. The only downside is that given our week in Chicago, there was not enough time to do everything on the Go Card. We started each day early, and hustled to get as much in as we could. We were also treated well by staff at each attraction.

This card is a must have!
By Amanda the sightseer Verified Reviewer from Sparta, Illinois on
Bottom Line:

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

We absolutely loved the Go Chicago Card! We decided to pick up our card in the city. There were several different pick-up destinations to choose from & the lady at the counter was very friendly & took the time to make sure that all our questions were answered. We used our card at the aquarium & didn't have to wait in line like everyone else. We got to do a tour of the Chicago River & a skyline tour on Lake Michigan. These were both two must see activities. The card covered 5 rides on any attraction at the Navy Pier. We were able to get into several of the museums & it was all covered by the cards! We also took advantage of the double-decker bus & trolley tours. Once you got your tickets for that, you could jump on & off the trolley or double-decker as many times as you wanted & they stopped right outside all major tourist destinations! Another benefit to the trolley tour was the fact that it's good for 2 days worth of use! This card was an incredible value!

Pros:
Worth the money, Let us see more, Easy to use
Cons:
Hard to purchase in city,
Best Uses:
Sky decks, Museums, Cruises
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Chicago Card:

Buy and receive this before you go. Was hard to have to go redeem the voucher. We got to see more than we would normally do and certainly got our money's worth. This was not as good as the Go Boston Card, however.
