Chicago Architecture River Cruise tickets

Gate Prices Adult $41.44
Child (3-12) $21.28

The Architecture Cruise is an exciting tour of the Chicago River and its architectural landmarks. You’ll travel down the main branch of the Chicago River, up the north branch to the East Bank Club, and then south past the Willis Tower to the old Post Office Building.

Cruises are led by professional guides who share the dramatic story of Chicago's rise from the ashes of the Great Fire of 1871 to become the home of the skyscraper and the cradle of modern American architecture.

Chicago is one of the most architecturally diverse cities in America. Longtime home of Frank Lloyd Wright and host to iconic buildings by Mies van der Rohe, Skidmore Owings Merrill, and Helmut Jahn, the urban Chicago landscape is a living record of twentieth century architectural movements. This cruise provides the perfect vantage point from which to to marvel at these iconic structures. It’s also a great photo opportunity!

The Chicago Explorer Pass is the best choice for maximum savings and flexibility. Choose to use your pass for Chicago Architecture River Cruise tickets, then look to the list of other top attractions for your other Explorer Pass admission choices!

A Must do if the weather is nice.

Comments about Smart Destinations Architectural River Cruise:

Beautiful view of the city and very informative. Chicago is a town rich in architectural history and the water is a great way to see it. Very well organized and manageable lines. I would book a time after 5pm giving you more time to see sights that close at 5pm like the museums. There isn't a bad seat on the boat you just need to arrive early to make sure you get the tour time you want because you can't book prior to the day of using the Go City Card. I would go at 8:30am when they open.

Poor ticketing system
By Sally from Michigan on

Comments about Smart Destinations Architectural River Cruise:

The ticket system is set up poorly. There is only one person who is able to scan the bar code off your phone or printed tickets. While waiting for her to scan, the boat filled up and we had to wait for the next boat. Waited 20 minutes for them to scan our tickets and only 10 people on line ahead of us. Lots of frustrated people here!

Comments about Smart Destinations Architectural River Cruise:

We enjoyed this tour enormously. Victor was knowledgeable about so many of the buildings and also the architects who created the magnificent works. His humor and delivery of funny lines kept the entire tour entertaining and lively, even though the temperature was in the 40's. Great part of the Chicago experience!
