Description

Internationally acclaimed as one of racing's most beautiful settings, Arlington Park hosted its inaugural meet in 1927 and re-opened its doors in 1989 after a devastating fire engulfed the clubhouse four years earlier. Throughout its more than 80 years of existence, Arlington Park has prided itself on playing host to many of the sport's greatest moments and being a leader in Thoroughbred racing.

Live racing from Friday, May 1 through Sunday, September 27. Each Friday during the season, Arlington hosts the Miller Lite Party in the Park featuring live music by some of the areas most popular bands. Sunday features Family Day activities including pony rides, petting zoo and face painters.

Hours:

Open from May 1-September 27, 2008: Wednesday-Thursday, first race 1:00 pm;
Saturday-Sunday, first race at 1:00 pm;
Friday first race at 2:30 pm. Post times subject to change. Special Holiday racing on Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Closed

May 1-June 30 and August 30- September 30: Monday-Wednesday. Closes September 27, 2009 for the season.

Driving:

From Chicago: Kennedy Expressway (I-90) West to 290/53 N. Exit 53N to Euclid Avenue East. Arlington Park entrance is 2 blocks from highway exit on left. Free parking.

Public Transportation:

Take Metra: Take the Union Pacific Northwest line from Olgilvie Station to the Arlington Park stop.

The Go Chicago card offer is not valid on Mother's Day, Father's Day, Fourth of July, and Arlington Million Day. Express Entrance is located on the west side of the building, at the Clubhouse entrance. It can be accessed off of the Euclid Avenue gates. Included General Admission, Reserved Box Seat, and $7 Cobey's Food Court Credit with the Go Chicago Card.

The Go City Card is accepted until 5:30pm unless otherwise noted; during all other times standard admission will apply.
