Bike Chicago Navy Pier

Bike and Roll Chicago offers no-hassle bike rentals to help you create your own eco-friendly tour of Chicago's streets and green spaces. With two convenient pick-up locations, it will be a breeze for you to explore Chicago on two wheels. A great family activity!

Hours

Open daily, weather permitting. Summer hours: 10:00am - 7:00pm June-August (but please be sure to present your Go Chicago Card BEFORE 5:30 pm).

Please note, Go Chicago Card holders may enter this attraction until closing or 5:30pm, whichever comes first.

Closings

Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. All holiday hours are subject to change without notice.

Redemption Instructions

Please present your Go Chicago Card to any ticket taker. They will validate it, return your card, and set you up for your rental.

The Bike and Roll Navy Pier location will be closed until Memorial Day. Please go to the Millennium Park location at:
239 E. Randolph Street
Chicago IL 60601

The Millennium Park location is available to Go Chicago Card holders Labor Day- Memorial Day ONLY. Please use the Navy Pier location Memorial Day- Labor Day.

Note

The Go Card is valid for a half day (4 hour) rental of a City Bike only; rental of a different bike requires separate payment. Customers may extend the half day rental to a full day rental for $5.

Bike Chicago Navy Pier is busiest between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. During this time City Bikes often sell out. It is recommended that you pick up your bikes earlier in the day, or call ahead (312-595-9600 ex:0) to ask about bike availability.

One of the best views of the city can be found on the Museum Campus between the Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium. It's a quick ride with a great reward!

From Midway: Orange Line to State and Lake, then #29 bus to Navy Pier.

Chicago is a biking paradise. Twenty-six glorious miles of amazing lakefront trails make it an easy, fun, and very safe city to explore by bike. You can ride north to Lincoln Park, with the Zoo and Chicago History Museum, or south to Grant Park and the Museum Campus. Sightseeing with Bike and Roll Chicago Bike rentals is a fun way to get around!

We rented bikes for the whole family (2 teen-agers , my husband and I) Good quality bikes. Beautiful path along the shores of Lake Michigan. Unfortunately we rented our bikes during the air show and the path was so busy we couldn't even move!

Who knew biking Chicago would be so much fun! I am a middle-aged, not overly fit woman who loves to walk, but had no idea of the fun and versatility of biking this amazingly bike-accessible city. Christian at the rental shop was a blessing for sure! I highly recommend this method of travelling from one end of the city to the other... We saw sights and sounds that surely added to our love of the lovely city of Chicago.. Thanks Christian!
