Brookfield Zoo, Chicagoland’s largest zoo, is open year-round and is world-renowned for its innovative animal exhibits and 216-acre nature park.
Activities and attractions include a carousel and daily dolphin shows. In the summer, you can enjoy educational Zoo Chats, touch a ray at Stingray Bay, walk through the Butterflies! exhibit, and splash in water play areas.
Great Bear Wilderness allows visitors to go eye-to-eye with North American animals like grizzly bears, polar bears, bison, wolves, and eagles for a National Park-like experience close to home.
In October, get into the spooky spirit with our two Halloween events. Creatures of the Night offers multiple haunted attractions and activities, Friday through Sunday evenings from October 14 to 30. Boo! at the Zoo, a not-too-scary daytime event on Saturdays and Sundays, October 22 to 30, features a costume parade and other family-friendly fun.
