The Chicago Architecture Foundation is your gateway to discovering Chicago’s world-renowned architecture. Start your visit at the orientation center which features a large scale model of downtown Chicago and explores the innovative people and ideas that shaped Chicago. Then choose from more than 85 tours of the city and surrounding neighborhoods. Passionate and knowledgeable docents will entertain you while teaching you about the historical and modern buildings that make Chicago the First City of American Architecture. Don’t leave without visiting CAF’s shop, one of Chicago’s most unique venues filled with modern and historically-inspired home décor, jewelry, architectural books and photography. Plus, receive a $2 discount (40% off) when renting the audio guide for our blockbuster exhibition, Chicago Model City. Hear local historians, planners and other experts discuss how a city as vast and complex as Chicago takes shape.
