Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago is the only museum in the Chicago area that exclusively provides exhibits and programming for ages birth to 8. All 17 permanent exhibits are hands-on and interactive. Shop in the child-sized Dominick’s grocery store, find your way through the Discovery Maze, build and race vehicles in Car Care, cure stuffed animals in the Pet Vet, make sandwiches in the play Potbelly Cafe, dance and sing in Music Makers, and make a splash in Water Works.
There are also four baby play areas for infants and crawlers. Habitat Park, a secure outdoor exhibit area with a sculpture trail, climbing structures, and underground tunnel, offers seasonal programming. The Museum features 200 free parking spots, a cafe and store, and is fully accessible to all children, with any level of physical or cognitive ability.
Tip: Children ages 1-2 will be charged regular admission at the museum. Child admission changes to $8.50 as of June 2010.
