Description

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, a giant indoor LEGO world designed for families with children aged 2 to 12, opened its first location in the US in Schaumburg's Streets of Woodfield shopping center. The attraction features activities ranging from hands-on LEGO play to life-sized LEGO adventures designed to provide several hours of family entertainment centered around the iconic interlocking colored bricks.

The 30,000-square-foot leisure destination combines LEGO model building and unusual construction challenges with theme park-like attractions such as a dragon ride, adventure trail, and 4D cinema incorporating fantastical LEGO creatures and LEGO-based special effects. Other highlights includes a DUPLO play area for younger children, three themed birthday party rooms, a LEGO cafe, a LEGO store, and a special room with rotating exhibitions of work by master LEGO builders.

Daily, 10:00 am-7:00 pm. Last ticket sold at 5:00 pm.

Driving:

From Chicago: Kennedy Expressway (I-90) West to I-53. Exit South I-53 to Higgins Rd. Turn right onto Higgins Rd., then turn right onto N. Martingale Rd. Free parking.

Public Transportation:

CTA- Take the CTA Blue Line train to the Rosemont Station. Transfer to the Route 606 Pace Bus to Woodfield Mall. Take the Free Schaumburg Woodfield Trolley to the Streets of Woodfield stop.
