Learn LEGO building secrets from the Master Model Builder, feel like you're a part of the story in the 4D cinema, and ride the dragon through the medieval LEGO castle. At LEGOLAND ® Discovery Center, see iconic downtown Chicago landmarks in MINILAND®, pedal to the skies on the Technicycle, and build and test your own LEGO creations! 

The 30,000 square foot indoor attraction, located in Schaumburg’s Streets of Woodfield, is geared toward families with children age 3 to 10 years old. Other highlights include a DUPLO soft play area for younger children, LEGO construction challenges, a LEGO café, and a full LEGO store.

From Chicago: Kennedy Expressway (I-90) West to I-53. Exit South I-53 to Higgins Rd. Turn right onto Higgins Rd., then turn right onto N. Martingale Rd. Free parking.

CTA - Take the CTA Blue Line train to the Rosemont Station. Transfer to the Route 606 Pace Bus to Woodfield Mall. Take the Free Schaumburg Woodfield Trolley to the Streets of Woodfield stop.

Comments about Smart Destinations LEGOLAND Discovery Centre:

My son was 9 when we went and we had a great time! There was alot to look at and do. He really enjoyed the 4D movie and during the day there were lego building competitions with different themes which he really enjoyed. We had a great time and he would love to go back again when we visit the area again. We were staying in the area so it wasn't inconvenient, but if you are staying in Chicago, you either have to drive or take the train to the area.

Comments about Smart Destinations LEGOLAND Discovery Centre:

This is a great place to go visit with the family. Be sure to not going during their peak times it can be crowded to the point of not being enjoyable. You should also seek out coupons or discounts because otherwise it is not worth the cost. Be prepared when you get to the Free building area that your kids will be most interested in this area building for hours if you have the time. :) Overall a must see outside downtown Chicago.
