Description

Originally established in 1890 as 'The Tea Room,' the Walnut Room is one of the oldest restaurants in Chicago. Appointed with the original Circassian walnut paneling and Austrian crystal chandeliers, the expansive Walnut Room offers lunch and dinner daily, Tuesday through Saturday. The theme of the two-story Great Tree, decorated with 1,200 ornaments and 25,000 lights, changes annually and is lit the second Saturday of November. (Dates subject to change.) Additional dining venues offering unique menus, atmosphere, service, and pricing at the State Street store include Frango� Caf� and Seven on State on the 7th floor, the Cookbook Cafe on the 1st floor, and InField's and Field's Marketplaces on the lower level.

Tuesday-Saturday, 11:00 am-7:00 pm;
Sunday, 11:00 am-5:00 pm.

Driving:

Bounded by State Street (west), Washington (south), Wabash (east), and Randolph (north). Access to the Loop is from Washington St. exit of I-90/94 and from Randolph St. exit of Lake Shore Dr. Parking is available across the street on Randolph, entrance mid-block between Wabash and State Street.

Public Transportation:

Take CTA: Red, Blue, Brown, Green, or Orange lines to Randolph/Washington.
