Description: The 4-D Experience brings exhilarating sensory effects to 3-D features the whole family will enjoy. High-tech special effects, from vibrating seats to snow, bubbles to scents, bring you closer to the action. The 4-D Experience adds an exciting element that complements your Shedd visit. Picture yourself with one of Shedd's beautiful aquatic animals. As a special offer to Go Chicago Card holders, a SharpShooter photo package - including a 6x8 print, a 4x6 print and two jumbo wallet prints in a custom Shedd Aquarium folder, using one of Shedd's spectacular animal images - is just $15.
Note:: Recommended for ages 3 and up.
Hours:: Theater is open daily, showtimes vary.
Closed:: Christmas Day. All holiday hours are subject to change without notice.
Public Transportation:: Take CTA: Red, orange, or green line to the Roosevelt Road/Museum Campus stop. From Roosevelt Road take CTA bus #146. From State Street downtown, North Michigan Avenue, or north side of Chicago, take CTA bus #146 Marine Michigan.

Redemption Instructions:: Present your Go Chicago Card at the time of entry to purchase your discounted admission at the Will Call counter.

The Go City Card is accepted until 5:30pm unless otherwise noted; during all other times standard admission will apply.

Comments about Smart Destinations 4-D Special FX Theater Experience at the Shedd Aquarium:

This was a very fun treat for the young and old alike. I took my 2 year old son last year, and he loves Spongebob. He would not wear the 3D glasses the entire time, and would get slightly upset by the vibrations in the seats, etc. But, overall, it was an enjoyable experience for him, and for me!
