What are the different products that Smart Destinations offers?

We offer two types of money-saving attraction passes:

GO CITY CARDS

You get unlimited access to our partner attractions for a number of days. The more you do, the more you save. You can also skip the line at many attractions!

Your Go Card order comes on a card that looks like a credit card; you just present it at the attraction, they swipe it and you get in! We’ll mail you the card when you buy it, or you can pick it up at one of several locations in your destination city.

Your Go Card order also comes with a full-color guidebook that gives you information about all of the attractions you can choose from.

You don’t have to decide which attractions you want to see in advance. Once you have the card, you can visit any of the attractions as long as your card is valid.

Because we work with so many different types of partners across the country, it’s important that you read the “How it Works” section for the card that you are buying, as there are slight variations depending on the destination you are traveling to.

GO SELECT PASS

This is a build-your-own attraction pass. Just visit our website for the destination of your choice, and add the attractions you want to visit to your pass. The more you add, the more you save!

How do your attraction passes work?*

We have a partnership with each of the attractions featured on our passes. All of our partner attractions have a special scanner at their gate to process our passes.

When you arrive at an attraction, present your pass to the staff to be scanned. You will be admitted to the attraction upon validation.

Passes are activated the first time you use them at an attraction.

You have one year from the day you purchase your pass to activate it; after a year, it will expire.

How will I receive my order?

If you buy a Go City Card, you will have the option to have the card and guidebook shipped to you OR you can choose to pick it up in your destination city.

If you choose to pick it up, you will get a voucher after checkout. It is important that you print this voucher and bring it with you to the destination to exchange it.

If you buy a Go Select Pass, you will receive a confirmation email containing your pass. It will be in the form of a QR code and can be printed or presented on a smartphone for entry.

What is the age range for a Child Pass? What should I do if my child is under the age minimum?

Child Passes are sold for children ages 3-12. In many cases, attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old, so it would not be a value for you to have a pass for a child that young. However, there are some exceptions (especially children’s museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers), so if you have a child under 3 years old, while we do not have a pass to sell you, you should be sure to check with the attraction directly in advance because the attraction might charge you at the gate.

Do you offer discounts for seniors, military, or students?

We build discounting into all of our passes and do our best to provide every customer with the maximum savings. Our prices are some of the lowest available because we bundle so much together. For that reason, we are unable to provide extra discounts.

Do you offer group discounts?

We do! If you are traveling with a group of 20 or more, please visit our group travel page to inquire about special rates.

Can I share my purchase with my friend?

You can purchase passes for anyone. However, once a pass is activated (used at an attraction) it can only be used by one individual. The passes can’t be resold or used by more than one person.

In the case of a Go City Card, you may be asked to sign the back of the card and present a photo ID at the gate.

Go City Card FAQ

What is a Go City Card?

A Go City Card is an attraction pass that provides admission to multiple attractions for one low price.

How will a Go City Card save me money?

Smart Destinations has a partnership with all of the participating attractions. When you buy a Go City Card, you can take advantage of our pricing and save up to 55% off of the retail price of the attractions depending on the city and how much you want to see and do.

Are there other benefits to a Go City Card besides saving money?

Many of our attraction partners allow cardholders to skip the line. Each city is different. Please read your guidebook to verify the attractions with this benefit.

The Go City Card also provides discounts on shopping and dining at select restaurants and tourist shops. All of the details are in your guidebook and online in the extra discount section.

Should I have my card shipped or should I pick it up?

If you have enough time before your trip, we recommend having the card shipped. This will provide additional time to read the guidebook and plan your trip.

Where can I purchase the Go City Card?

You can purchase a Go City Card on our website, as well as at a few retail locations in your destination city.* You’ll find the retail locations at these links: Boston | Chicago | Los Angeles | New York | Miami | Oahu | San Diego | San Francisco (*Please note that special online sales are not available in market.)

How many days should I buy?

Once you decide how many days you would like to sight-see, buy the card that matches your days. Some cards are valid for consecutive calendar dayswhile others are valid for a number of calendar days over a 14 day period. Please check your destination specific card information.

When is my card activated?

Your card is activated the first time you use it at an attraction.

What do you mean by a “calendar day”?

A calendar day runs from midnight to midnight. Cards are valid for the calendar day regardless of what time it is first used. If you activate a 1 day card at 3pm, it will expire at midnight when the calendar day ends. Most cards are valid from 9:00am to 5:30 pm each day (with the exception of Orlando, Miami, and New York City).

How many attractions can visit in one day?

On a Go City Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day from 9:00am-5:30pm.

In some destinations there are theme park attractions that have a minimum visit time of 3 hours. This means that you cannot visit 2 theme parks within a three-hour period. Otherwise, you can do as much as you want! Have FUN!

Can I visit the same attractions twice?

You can visit each attraction once per day. Most attractions can be visited again on another valid card day, but all destinations are different, so please refer to each attraction in your guidebook for specific usage instructions.

Can I share my pass with a friend?

We’re sorry, but passes are non-transferable once activated and cannot be shared.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to poor weather conditions?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great benefit about a Go City Card is that there are many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, please refer to the guidebook and choose one of our other attraction partners. We know that you’ll find something fun to do!

Do you ship Go City Cards to hotels?

Sorry, we cannot ship to hotels because of delivery concerns.

When does my Go City Card expire?

An unactivated card will expire one year from the date of purchase.

If you activate your card, it will expire after the number of calendar days have passed. (Check destination-specific information for consecutive days or 14 day validity.)

What do I do if my Go City Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen.

What is a Go Select Pass?

A Go Select Pass is a customized attraction pass. Each attraction added to your pass will save you money! When you check out, we’ll provide you with a QR code that can be scanned at the gate of each attraction. The code can be printed or shown on your smartphone.

How do I build a Go Select Pass?

You can build your pass on our website, on your mobile phone, or with a customer service representative.

How does the pricing work on a Go Select Pass?

A Go Select Pass is priced as you build it. The more attractions you add, the more you save! The savings depends on the combination of attractions.

Can I purchase a single attraction?

Go Select Passes are meant to be sold as packages, and most attractions are not available for individual purchase. However, if you see this icon, it means that it is available for sale as a single attraction. Please note that when you buy a single attraction, you are not eligible for the discounts that come with a package.

Can I substitute attractions in a pre-built package?

Pre-built packages have extra savings above what you would receive if you had built it yourself. When you add attractions to pre-built packages, the pricing will revert to the normal discount.

Can my whole group use one Go Select Pass?

Each member of a group will have to have his or her own pass, but several QR codes may be scanned from the same smartphone.

Can I use my Go Select Pass on my mobile phone?

Yes. You may open the email confirmation on your smartphone, and scan the QR code for admission to each attraction.

How long is my Go Select Pass good for?

Your Go Select Pass is valid for a one-time admission to each chosen attraction for up to 30 days from the first use.

Can I visit an attraction more than once using Go Select?

Each attraction can only be visited once unless otherwise noted.

How do you offer prices lower than the attractions themselves?

Smart Destinations has a partnership with the participating attractions. When you buy a Go Select Pass, you will take advantage of our special pricing.

How do I get my Go Select Pass once I place my order?

You will receive a confirmation email containing your pass. It will be in the form of a QR code and can be printed or presented on smartphone for entry.

How much will I save with the Go Select Pass?

The more attractions that you add to your pass, the more you will save. Your savings will vary depending on the combination of attractions added. With a Go Select Pass, your savings could be as high as 40%.

Can I share my Go Select pass with a friend?

Go Select Passes are non-transferable. You can buy a pass for a friend, but two people cannot travel on the same pass.
