What products does Smart Destinations offer?

We offer two types of convenient, money-saving attraction passes:

Go City Cards and New York Explorer Pass

Go City Cards and the New York Explorer Pass are attraction passes that get you in to multiple attractions for one low price.

With Go City Cards, you can visit as many attractions as you like for the number of days you've purchased. You don't have to decide in advance which attractions you want to see.

With the New York Explorer Pass, you choose the number of attractions you'd like to see, and you can visit them at any time over a 30-day period. You don't have to decide in advance which attractions you want to see.

Go Select Pass

This is a build-your-own attraction pass which offers guaranteed savings on just the attractions you want to see. You buy a pass for the attractions that interest you, and you can visit them at any time over a 30-day period.

How do I use the attraction passes?

Each attraction has a special scanner at the gate to process our passes. At most attractions, you simply present your card, printed pass, or smartphone for scanning.

For more detailed information, please see the "Getting In" instructions for each attraction you'd like to visit.

How do I "activate" my pass?

Your pass will be automatically activated when you visit your first attraction.

Does the pass expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How will I receive my order?

Go City Cards and New York Explorer Pass

For Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Oahu, and San Diego, you can have your pass delivered instantly! Print it at home or use the pass on your smartphone. Select Instant Delivery at checkout.

In all cities, you can have the card and guidebook shipped to you, or pick it up at your destination. Select In-City Pickup at checkout.

If you choose In-City Pickup, you will get a voucher after checkout. Print this voucher and bring it with you to the destination to exchange it for your card and guidebook.

Go Select Passes

If you buy a Go Select Pass, you will receive a confirmation email containing your pass. It will contain a QR code and can be printed or presented on a smartphone for admission to the attractions.

What is the age range for a Child Pass? What should I do if my child is under the age minimum?

Child Passes are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

Can I really skip ticket lines?

Yes, you can! Since you already have your paid admission on your phone, many of our attraction partners allow you to go straight to the gate, skipping the ticket line. Check the "Getting In" instructions for each attraction on your pass to see where and how.

Do you offer discounts for seniors, military, or students?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide extra discounts. We build discounting into all of our passes and do our best to provide every customer with the maximum savings. Our prices are some of the lowest available because we bundle so much together.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes, we do! If you are traveling with a group of 20 or more, please visit our group travel page to inquire about special rates.

Can I share my purchase with my friend?

You can purchase passes for anyone. However, once someone activates a pass (by using it at an attraction) it can only be used by that individual. The passes can't be resold or used by more than one person.

In the case of a Go City Card, you may be asked to sign the back of the card and present a photo ID at the gate.

What is your refund policy?

We know sometimes travel plans change, even at the very last minute. That's why, if you don't end up activating and using your pass within a year of the purchase date, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Go City Card FAQ

What is a Go City Card?

A Go City Card is an attraction pass that provides admission to multiple attractions for one low price.

What do you mean by a "calendar day"?

A calendar day runs from midnight to midnight. Cards are valid for the calendar day regardless of what time it is first used. If you activate a 1 day card at 3pm, it will expire at midnight when the calendar day ends. Most cards are valid from 9:00am to 5:30 pm each day (with the exception of Orlando, Miami, and New York City).

How do I "activate" my card?

Your card is automatically activated the first time you use it at an attraction.

How many days should I buy?

Buy a card for the number of days you would like to sightsee. Some cards are valid forconsecutive calendar days, while others are valid for a number of calendar days over a 14 day period. Please check your specific card "How it Works" information.

What is your refund policy?

We know sometimes travel plans change, even at the very last minute. That's why, if you don't end up activating your pass (by using it at an attraction) within a year of purchase, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Does a Go City Card expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How much will I save?

Compare the price of the pass to the gate prices of the attractions you want to visit to see how much you can save. Many customers save more than 50%.

How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go City Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day from 9:00am-5:30pm.

In some destinations there are theme park attractions that have a minimum visit time of 3 hours. This means that you cannot visit 2 theme parks within a three-hour period.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook page for specific information on each attraction.

Should I have my card shipped or should I pick it up?

  • Instant Delivery is the fastest option. You'll be able to access your pass from your email or on your phone immediately after you purchase.
    With instant delivery you will receive a printable and mobile version of our guidebook.
  • Having your pass shipped in advance will save you time traveling to a pick up location when you get there. Note that transit times vary depending on shipping options.
  • With In-City Pickup you can get a physical card and full-color printed guidebook without waiting for shipping. We will email you a voucher which can be redeemed for passes at one of our in-city pickup locations.

Do you ship Go City Cards to hotels?

Sorry, we cannot ship to hotels because of delivery concerns.

I have a voucher; where do I pick up my Go City Card?

Can I buy a Go City Card at my destination?

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to poor weather conditions?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great benefit about a Go City Card is that there are many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, please refer to the guidebook and choose one of our other attraction partners. We know that you’ll find something fun to do!

What do I do if my Go City Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen. Please treat the card like cash.

Can I share my pass with a friend, or sell it?

A Go City Card is non-transferrable. Once you start using it, you are the only person who can use it to get into attractions. You must sign the signature strip on the back of the card and you may be asked to present an ID. ${passName}s cannot be re-sold.

If you are traveling with a group, you may be asked to present each member of your group at the ticket window, for proof of ID.

What is a Go Select Pass?

A Go Select Pass is a build-your-own attraction pass which offers guaranteed savings on just the attractions you want to see. You buy a pass for the attractions that interest you, and you can visit them at any time over a 30-day period.

How much will I save with a Go Select Pass?

A Go Select Pass is priced as you build it. The exact savings depends on the combination of attractions. Generally, the more attractions you buy, the higher the savings.

How long is my Go Select Pass good for?

30 days. Passes are valid for 30 calendar days from first use. You have up to 1 year from the date of purchase to use your pass for the first time.

Does my Go Select pass expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

Unless otherwise noted, you may visit each attraction only once.

Can I purchase a single attraction?

You will save the most when you bundle Go Select attractions together. However, in many destinations attractions are available for individual purchase.

How will my Go Select Pass be delivered?

Your pass will be immediately available to download and/or print after checkout. You will also receive a pdf attached to your confirmation email.

How do I open my pass?

Your pass is a PDF document. You need to a pdf reader to open your pass. Please visit http://get.adobe.com/reader to download and install a free reader from Adobe.

How do I use my pass at an attraction?

Each traveler will have his or her own Go Select Pass, containing a unique bar code. At most attractions, you simply present your Go Select Pass at the normal ticket window. The attendants will scan your pass and return it to you.

Please read the individual "Getting In" instructions for each attraction to determine if there are any special instructions. (Some attractions may require you to redeem your Go Select pass for a separate entrance pass.)

Can I add or remove an attraction from a Go Select Package?

No. Pre-built packages have extra savings even higher than what you would get if you had built it yourself. While you may purchase extra attractions, the pricing will revert to the normal discount. You cannot remove attractions from a pre-built package.

Can I share my Go Select pass with a friend?

No. Go Select Passes are non-transferable. You can buy a pass for a friend, but two people cannot visit attractions using the same pass.
