Systems Administrator - Linux

Reporting to: IT Manager
Team: IT- Technology

Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for the installation, maintenance and support of software (Linux, Windows Servers, Enterprise e-mail system), computers (servers, PC's), peripherals, networks and communication equipment (Cell phones, Blackberry devices).
• Maintain inventory of terminal network, software licenses, computers and other hardware, network system and back up procedures, and any other IS process.
• Ensure that hardware and software are monitored for problems and that patches, service packs, and maintenance releases are current.
• Responsible for programming, installation, maintenance, and support of Smart Terminal network which requires some occasional travel.

Experience Requirements

• Successful candidates will have a BS in Computer Science with 4+ years of IT experience and possess significant knowledge of Linux systems administration and Windows systems administration.
• Possess solid understanding of VPN, VOIP and Firewalls. Have experience with networking (LAN and WAN) and telephony communications.
• Strong organizational skills with complimentary good verbal and writing abilities required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
