Web Designer

Job Summary
Smart Destinations is looking for an individual with strong web design and production skills. This person will help define and design the next generation of web sites for Go Cards and other products. Will also design and produce all other collateral associated with our websites including banner ads and other graphics. Understanding of the travel industry and writing skills are a plus.

Key Accountabilities:

• Work with User experience team to build the next generation of Smart Destinations web sites.
• Maintain and expand established look and feel and web materials.
• Build all web based marketing graphics such as online advertising and embedded graphics for other sites.

Experience:

• BA, BFA in Web Design or equivalent
• 4-7 years experience with in web design and production

Professional Skills:

• Thorough understanding of web graphics and current technologies
• User-centric design process, as well as developing innovative approaches for complex design problems.
• Knowledge of information architecture, sitemaps, schematics and prototypes
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for a variety of audiences including marketing and technology/development teams
• Proficient knowledge of html
• Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver (or text editor), Acrobat, ImageReady, etc.
• Understanding of latest trends in website usage and UI and web 2.0 features.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Entourage
