Frequently Asked Questions

What do you mean by calendar days over a 2 week period?

Your Go Los Angeles Card is valid for the number of days you bought the card for, and you can take up to two weeks to use your card.

For example, if you activate a 3-Day Go Los Angeles Card on a Monday, then your card will be good for that day and 2 more days in the next two weeks. If you decide to go sightseeing again that Friday, then you will have one day left to use, and so on.

Please note that these are calendar days, not 24-hour periods, so start your day early to get the most out of your card!

How do I "activate" my card?

Simply visit your first attraction!

How many days should I buy?

Most travelers visit between 2 and 3 attractions each day depending on individual preference. Our most popular card is the 3-Day card.

Is my card valid all day?

You can enter attractions until 5:30pm with the Go Los Angeles Card.

What is your refund policy?

We know sometimes travel plans change, even at the very last minute. That's why, if you don't end up activating and using your pass within a year of the purchase date, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Here's the best part: unlike our competitors, this built-in cancellation insurance comes with every card purchase — free of charge.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to initiate a refund anytime within 1 year of your purchase, please call our Customer Care Team at 800-887-9103. We'll tell you how you can return your non-activated card or pass.

Please note: Activated passes are non-refundable.

What is the Universal Studios Hollywood bonus offer?

If you purchase a 3, 5 or 7-Day card, you can visit Universal Studios Hollywood on up to three of your valid card days.

Does a Go Los Angeles Card expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How much will I save?

We’ve made it easy to compare the combined gate prices with the price of the Go Los Angeles Card, to see how much you could save. Try our Savings Calculator!

How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go Los Angeles Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day from 9:00am-5:30pm.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook for specific information on each attraction.

What is the age cut off for child cards?

Child cards are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to weather or other problem?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great thing about a Go Los Angeles Card is that there are so many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, we know you'll find a fun alternative in your guidebook!

What do I do if my Go Los Angeles Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen. Please treat the card like cash.

Can I share my Go Los Angeles Card with a friend, or sell it?

A Go Los Angeles Card is non-transferrable. Once you start using it, you are the only person who can use it to get into attractions. You must sign the signature strip on the back of the card and you may be asked to present an ID. Go Los Angeles Cards cannot be re-sold.

If you are traveling with a group, each traveller may be asked for proof of ID.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch. Go Los Angeles Card has a partnership with all of the participating attractions to make your visit to Los Angeles as memorable as possible and to help you save time and money.

I still have questions!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Los Angeles Card:

Did queen mary, spirit cruise but didn't get the chance to do aquarium by the pacific because of time we couldn't make it in time for it. They should make a 10 day go la card to get more activities in and no time restrictions it's hard to squeeze a lot of places in by 5:30 every day.also it would be nice to add Taco Bell discovery center we kept driving past it on the freeway on the way to other destinations. Also you no longer have the cal science museum and Autry museum. It prompt next time to get annual passés to some of the theme parks time limitations my biggest complaint.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Los Angeles Card:

My family purchased a 7-day pass for two adults and one child and used them extensively each of those days. When we got home, I figured we would have spent over $400 each for the adults if we had purchased admissions to each of the places/activities separately. We also came out on the plus side with our son's card. Of course, there are some things we wouldn't have done if we didn't have the cards (such as a tour of the stars' homes and a walking tour of Hollywood). We had used the Chicago card a couple years ago and were pleased, so we went for the Los Angeles card. Every place that we patronized honored the card as promised and knew what to do with them. Bottom line: this is a great deal and a reputable company.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Los Angeles Card:

Purchased the Go Card in September 2010 for my first trip to California. Before I had found out about the Go Card, we were planning on going to Six Flags Magic Mountain, the Pacific Ocean, and pretty much chill for the rest of the trip. We discovered this card and purchased a 3 day card for a 4 night trip. We were able to do much more after we purchased this card. Universal Studios Hollywood was included with a 3 day card, so we started our trip out there. I'm glad we were able to visit Universal Studios. We also visited Hollywood, but it was too late and we couldn't use the card on anything. The next day we used as our "non card" day and spent the day at Santa Monica beach and to a Dodgers game at night. The next day was spent at Magic Mountain, which was in our original plans. Our final day was spent on the Queen Mary and at the Aquarium of the Pacific, neither of which we originally planned to do. The card made me feel like I got more value for my money. I was able to do things that I wouldn't have originally done. The only bad part was that everything had to be done by a certain time. Also, some of the attractions weren't clearly marked as to where to wait if you had a Go Card.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Los Angeles Card:

I bought the 5-day Go LA Card and it was well worth it! At this time of writing I have only used it 4 days out of 5 and it is already well worth it, I saved more than if I didn't get the card! I went on the Hollywood Behind The Scene Tour, Madame Tussauds, Universal Studios, Six Flags, Warner Brother's VIP Studio Tour so far and it is easy to use this card at these attractions, I only had to make reservations for Warner Bros. Tour.

Great Card Great Value
By Sarg from Nashville,TN on

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Los Angeles Card:

I am not usually one to write reviews , however I was inclinded to write his for 2 reasons. One is that the Go LA Card is great and Great value, everyone that we presented the card to was happy to see us and very appreciative of the business we had brougt them even with the prepaid Go LA card. Except Starline Malibu homes tours on the Santa Monica Pier. My wife and I showed up at about 12:25pm for the 12:30pm tour, (had trouble navigating the parking situation there) thinking we were too late and yes we were, the lady at the window was happy to see us till we asked about the 12:30 tour then she told us it was too late and tried to get us to make reservation for the 3:30pm tour and we said OK, (here is where it all went south) she said ok that will be $44 a piece, we then told her we had the GO LA Card she saidwhile walking away from us " well you only get stand by with that so come back about 3pm and if I have any seats left you can ride for free", free? I thought I paid for it when I bought the GO LA card? Anyway my wife and I eat lunch and walked around killed 25 hours then at the apointed time of 3pm we went to the window and she smiled and asked how she could help, I told her we had the GO lA card and wanted to know if she had any seats left at 3:30pm AGAIN while walking away from us said "No that tour is full, it's been full for over an hour" We had just watched and a lady buy tickets right in front of us. Needless to say that lady made us feel like 3rd class citizens for having and wanting to use our GO LA card to take her tour. The GO LA Card is great and a great value but stay away from the Starline Malibu tour.
