The California Science Center itself is free to all, but with this pass you will get to see a film at the incredible seven-story IMAX Theater found there. Choose from such scientifically-inspired films such as: Born to be Wild 3D, which documents orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them; A rainforest Adventure; Bugs! 3D, which gives a detailed look at the lives of a praying mantis and a beautiful butterfly; Hubble 3D, which lets you accompany space-walking astronauts as they attempt the most difficult and important tasks in NASA’s history; and Arabia 3D, a unique look at the history, culture, and religion of the Arabian peninsula. Films are shown daily on the hour and last approximately 45 minutes.
After your film, don’t pass up the chance to check out the California Science Center, which is conveniently located in near downtown Los Angeles and provides an exciting venue for learning and interactive thrills, regardless of your age. In addition to over 100 permanent hands-on exhibits and a seven-story IMAX Theater, the Science Center also rotates special exhibitions throughout the year, focusing on a specific theme within science, mathematics, technology and art. Comments about Smart Destinations California Science Center IMAX Movie:
This science center was great. There is so much to see. We made the mistake of going on a weekday so there were so many kids from camps visiting. We weren't able to fully enjoy the attraction. The IMax movie was pretty cool.
