We are currently renting a car from enterprise and I can say we are highly disappointed. I am an American who lives in Germany and travels home 2-3 times a year. My boyfriend and I have always rented with the smaller rental companies and have always been highly satistified. This time we chose enterprise. To start off we paid to rent a standard class. We arrived at the airport and go to pick up our car. First they try to up sell us to other cars that actually turned out to be from the class we paid for. We declined and went on. Then they ask if we want to add insurance when we clearly had our printed out receipt showing we had already paid for it when we booked. The guy continued to say it wasn't enough, even though we paid for the highest possible options. We were just excited to get home so we took the car and drove 3 hours. Once getting it out of the airport we realized how disgusting the car way. The car smelled horrible like cigarette smoke, the outside was completely covered in some dirt, and the inside windshield was extremely dirty. So the following day we go to and enterprise at the town we are staying in. I immediately ask the employee what class the car we were driving is and she replied with intermediate. Which was below what we had paid for. So not did they have cars from class we selected at the airport, they tried to get us to pay more for 1 of them. The switched out the car for another in the correct class that was a little bit cleaner, but not much. At this point we were completely over it. The new one they gave us had been washed on the outside, but the inside was covered in dog hair, dirt, and smelled like smoke too. This car has multiple dents and scratches on it. We will continue to use it for the remainder, but 100% will NOT be renting from enterprise again!

I have a reservation which took me three hours to get then I get all the way down here three minutes before they closed and everyone is already gone doors are locked . This place is horrible everyone is very hard to work with you get the go around about three or four times from different people bottom line never use enterprise. Enterprise is the worst business I have ever seen

I'm giving one star because I have to to allow my review to go through. Otherwise, they deserve no stars. Enterprise in Cumberland, MD was awful. I did an online reservation for a standard car Friday. We needed to pick the car up Wednesday. You would think since you reserved a standard car 5 days in advance, that's what you'd get. Wrong. We got an SUV that we didn't want. Not a very nice one at that. They said they would call when a car became available. We never received that call. I called and was told they had no cars. I was also told we could stop at any other Enterprise location and switch vehicles. What an inconvenience. Thanks Enterprise. I'll take my business elsewhere next time.

On August 8th I booked a rental which was confirmed for me to pick up on the 9th. When we arrived they had no vehicle for us. Was told they would have one later that day which as it turned out they did not. We never received any contact from them to let us know anything. They just left us hanging in limbo. I would not recommend this business to anyone! Very poor customer service, they do not care if they inconvenience you in any way at all. Also should mention we were over 800 miles from home with no transportation thanks to Enterprise.

I would use this company again if I wanted a headache and to be taken for an extra 100 dollars . It all started at the website were I was quoted something completely different then what they were trying to collect at the counter ! On top of the fact that they were not going to be able to help me without a major credit card due to the distance I was going which I was not told on the website so my trip almost didnt happen. Luckily a friend helped us out with our week rental and we were on our way . The car ran great and we didnt have the stress of breaking down I had all the insurance and roadside I could handle. The trip went great until ... I needed the car for an extra day so they decided to keep my deposit on top of the extra daily charge which I knew about but I lost 100 dollar deposit in the process when I returned the car clean and with extra gas in it . The employees are completely brainless zombies that don't know their jobs well enough . The companies website doesnt coincide with the actual stores policies or stock on cars . I recommend enterprise as a last resort and make sure you read your bills fine print carefully .

Me and my wife are visiting family and I'm a veteran and my wife is active duty. We tried to rent a car and we needed two bills (I.e. utility and phone) and drivers license. Well the bills had to match the drivers license well for military members we travel all around and we do it frequent so it would be time consuming to get a new license every time we switched duty stations. Well enterprise said we could not rent a car from them because it didn't match. So from what I understood from what they were telling us they are expecting us to have a utility bill at all time and when it doesn't match our license due to being in the military they are unwilling to work with us in any way. Very unacceptable in my opinion.

My daughter and I flew in from San Diego to Fresno (7/21), and we needed a way to move around because we were on our way to Chico, Ca. When we got to the Enterprise table, we were greeted by a young gentleman named Mark. We explained to him that we were traveling from San Diego to visit my daughters new school (she is going to grad school), but that we didn't have a car because we didn't think we'd have to - we really did need one though. He was kind enough to offer us deals from the company and to make us feel safe about the choices. We didn't have a lot of money to spend, but he made sure we got the best deal for a car that could help me move my daughter from her previous apartment to her new home. When we went to get the car outside, it turned out that we needed something bigger to fit her things, so a young lady, Fauna, helped us by showing us the cars the airport Enterprise had available and how they worked. She even got us a deal (from $15 a day to $8) so I could get a car that could help me help my daughter. I highly recommend the Fresno-Yosemite Airport Enterprise! I was really impressed with their kindness and work-ethic.

Was given the run around because I did not have a credit card. Even though I put down a 200.00 dollar deposit. I had what they requested and still had to go get more information because employee did not think I had enough utility bills, I felt like he thought if he made it hard on me, I would just give up and go away. When I returned the car on the bill their was something that said 24 hour billing cycle I was not told of this that they would hold my deposit. I called customer service and the lady I talked to said they put a hold of 5 to 7 day business days to get my deposit back. She said when you rent they don't tell you this. They took their money out right away and make me wait to get a deposit that is mine. This is wrong. We had a budget for vacation and I counted on this money when I got home. We are not rich, work all year to save so are kids can have a decent vacation once a year, thanks a lot ENTERPRISE I am sure you got your money right away no waiting. You ruined a great vacation I will never rent from you again and will tell everyone I can about your hold policy that you don't disclose when we rent SHAME ON YOU!!!!! You need to get a faster billing return or let your customers hold your money for 5 to 7 days. I am sure this policy would change quickly if the tables were turned. Thanks a lot

Waited almost two hours for a compact size suv and they didn't have it so ended up getting a Chevy Equinox. They guys up front were roaming around as if they were trying to avoid customers. The chevy then had to be dropped off by another customer and then had to be cleaned and washed which took another 15-20 minutes. Nobody updated us or anything until we got up and asked them what is going on. Customer service needs to be improved a lot and if they don't have a car available, don't let anybody reserve it and get there and they expecting the car they reserved and not recieve it.

I reserved a premium SUV for a family vacation . When I went to pick it up I was told they were sold out and they didn't know why I was able to reserve one and all they could offer was a small SUV or van. We chose he can but didn't have as much room and struggled with luggage . I wasn't offered a discount and no one tried to locate the accurate vehicle for me .
