Description

Take a journey of discovery through the world's largest ocean at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Meet more than 11,000 animals as you explore the sunny Southern California and Baja Pacific, the frigid waters of the North Pacific, and the colorful reefs of the Tropical Pacific. In the Southern California & Baja gallery, seals and sea lions can be viewed in an up-close-and personal indoor/outdoor setting. The Northern Pacific gallery is home to puffins and other diving birds which nest overhead and 'fly' underwater, while the sea otters frolic in a nearby habitat. In the Tropical Reef Habitat, the aquarium's largest exhibit, visitors are introduced to a coral lagoon with colorful fish, as well as sea horses, sea snakes and mysterious sea dragons. Shark Lagoon features a large exhibit showcasing impressive big sharks and touch pools where visitors can reach in and touch more than 150 smaller sharks.

Driving:

From the 405 Freeway take the 710 South Freeway and follow the signs to the aquarium. The aquarium parking structure is located on the water side of Shoreline Drive. Parking is $6 for aquarium guests when you show an aquarium ticket stub upon exit.

Public Transportation:

Metro: The aquarium is accessible from the Metro Blue line. Take the Blue Line from Los Angeles to Downtown Long Beach, to First Street and Pine Avenue. Once you get to Pine Avenue, you can catch the Long Beach Passport Shuttle for a free ride to the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Redemption Instructions:

Included admission with the Go Los Angeles Card. Present your Go Los Angeles card at the aquarium ticket window and receive an admission ticket.

The Go City Card is accepted until 5:30pm unless otherwise noted; during all other times standard admission will apply.
