Aquarium of the Pacific

A $28.95 value - Included with your Go Los Angeles Card!

Get to know the inhabitants of the world's largest ocean at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. You will meet more than 11,000 animals as you explore the habitats of sunny Southern California and Baja Pacific, the frigid waters of the North Pacific, and the vivid, almost fluorescent reefs of the Tropical Pacific. Check out seals and sea lions and watch them frolic and play in an up-close indoor/outdoor setting.

You'll encounter diving birds that "fly" underwater and mysterious sea dragons that make their home in a coral lagoon. You’ll get the chance to see sharks and even touch them in a hands-on tank! Get an up-close look at the diverse sea life of the Pacific. Don't forget to say hello to Maggie, the resident sea otter at the Aquarium of the Pacific!

Very Nice Aquarium, But...
By adseaba Verified Reviewer from Iowa on
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Aquarium of the Pacific:

I would definitely recommend this aquarium. I loved it. Lots of little ones there. Perfet for them. However, getting in was a pain. The girl at the door had never heard of the Go Card. She directed us to the service desk where the guy we dealt with was incredibly rude. Gave an exasperated eye-roll to the girl next to him when we said we had the card. Took them off somewhere and did something with them then finally, five minutes later, gave us tickets and let us in. If the aquarium wasn't as nice as it was, it was a bad enough experience that I would've just given up and left. I'd call ahead and make sure they still take the card in the future.

Comments about Smart Destinations Aquarium of the Pacific:

We had a great time at this aquarium. We went to a few others but this was by far the best. There are so many aquatic animals here. The thing we liked most was being able to touch the jellyfish and rays. The only con was the shows were not engaging. They had a seal show and that was just them feeding them. I wish they had a show like at SeaWorld.
