One museum with three locations, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA), consists of MOCA Grand Avenue, The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, and MOCA Pacific Design Center. Designed by Arata Isozaki, MOCA Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles is host to elegant underground galleries, the flagship location of the MOCA Store, the café Lemonade at MOCA, and staff offices. Pay close attention to the design of the building. Since opening in December 1986, this landmark structure has received numerous accolades from design critics nationwide. In 1991, the American Institute of Architects named it one of the '10 Best Works of American Architecture Completed Since 1980.'
